1. Acquire Marc's ambition.
2. Understand the technical stuff Marc talked about in his list.
3. Get on an airplane atleast 3 times this year ( all time low of 1 last year).
4. Try not to sound like an old senile man waving his cane around all the time.
5. Join Doug and the good people of Guam in their fight.

I doubt any of them make the cut, except for number 3.

Wear contact lenses more!??... I don't think I know anyone who wears them less than 98% of the time when they are awake!!!! ...I had to wear mine less last year 'cuz I ended up wearing them 98% of the time I was awake but still only wear glasses when I'm at home or driving at nighttime.

My reVolutions this year will be to make my Fridays productive since I don't have classes that day. That's it. Whenever I see something I need to improve I do it, don't need a new day to say "hey, maybe I should change something..."

Contacts have never been comfortable to me, especially considering the hours I spend in front of a computer screen. I got lazy last year and didn't bother with the hassle of putting them in (yeah, it takes less than a minute, but messing with the solution to clean them is a pain the ass). I don't wear mine unless I'm going out just hanging out around home or in the dorm, I don't wear them, and neither do I sleeping (obviously). So really, most of the time I don't wear them.

Interesting, I don't think I've ever met a person like that before.

I hate contacts. For me, they are not comfortable and often give me bad headaches. I suffer from dry eyes, I think. But that is why I want to get laser surgery, as my Dad did a week ago. And I don't really think my situation is that unusual. Not everyone who has contacts wears them 98% of the time. But enough of that. If you have good vision, be thankful.

I tried the limited number of resolutions trick last year, thinking three things of focus would make it easier to complete some really very large things.

Didn't work.

So, I didn't actually put any together for '05.

I can't even think about wearing contacts. My eyes tear up anytime I think about someone putting contacts in their eyes. Ugh. I get the willies, fingers being that close to the eye... what if some schlub wanders by, bumps your elbow, sends your fist through the back of your head...???

Contacts and me: NOT made for each other.

Dave

I can also see how people have troubles with contacts. I've sorta learned to deal with them now... but I almost never put them in when I'm not at school.

My new year's resolutions are... get into good enough shape to play good football for my Senior year... and to do what I can (get better grades, do more homework, save some money, find some work) to get into a fairly decent journalism school.

Geez...I'm glad I don't need glasses or contacts for that matter. I've got perfect 20/20 vision.

When I was a kid, my vision was better than 20/20. It has deteriorated over the years, however and I wear glasses when I read or work at my computer. I also wear them to do my job.
I hereby resolve to make no resolutions.

I'm with Dave and Marc. I prefer glasses over contacts. I've never worn contacts, can't stand them. Then when something new comes on the market proclaiming they won't hurt even the most sensitive eyes, people badger me to try them and guess what? They don't cut it either. To hell with it. Glasses are easier and safer IMO.

Laser surgery isn't my cup of tea either. Too afraid of them frying my eyes out of my head. If it isn't necessary, I'll cope. That's my philosophy.

I think anyone would agree laser eye surgery/perfect eyes over glasses/contacts

1. Exercise more.
2. Swear less. (I already broke this one while trying to set up a router last night.)

I've worn contacts for the past 12 years and I haven't really had any problems with them ... which is great because due to some other eye problems I have (because of being born premature), LASIK is out of the question for me.
