Default Hey SEC Fans

How do you size up the Auburn/LSU game? Doesn't home field advantage play a huge part in this one?

I'm not an SEC guy, but looking into my crystal ball I foresee Auburn - LSU being a much better game than Arizona - LSU. Call it a shot in the dark.

Honestly though, I'm interested to see Kenny Irons against the LSU defense. If he has a big game he's got to be considered a Heisman candiddate.

Eh, home field will play a part, it always does in these games (see the thrashing LSU gave UGA in Baton Rouge a few years back, followed the next year by the beatdown UGA gave to the Tigers the next year in Athens). But I think LSU will come out on top in this one. A good D and great offense, they may be the team to beat in the SEC.

Bo Pellini is making Les Miles look real good.

Of course the home team has the advantage in this game. I think Irons will do enough to eeek out a win.

I think Auburn takes this one. I'm not from the SEC but I am a fan of all college football thus making me an expert on all conferences.

Winning in Auburn is tough, especially when Auburn has a good team.

LSU must keep QB Brandon Cox off balance and stuff their running attack with Kenny Irons. That will be tough to do.

I like QB Jamarcus Russell for LSU. He's big and strong and doesn't get rattle too easily. It should be a nailbitter of a game.

I wonder if this game will beat Southern Cal-Nebraska in the ratings? I'll be watching the Trojan-Husker game but if it gets ugly I'll change to the...well...another Pac Ten game...or put in a tape of Dr. Phil.

It definitely will in the Southeast. IMO Auburn/LSU is more of a marquee matchup than USC/Nebraska since the Auburn/LSU game has two top 10 teams going at it & more is at stake BCS-wise, while Nebraska is barely in the top 20 in the standings. I think the media is just making a big deal over USC/Nebraska game because they haven't played each other in so long.

I think the big ratings of the day will probably go to Notre Dame/Michigan.

Of course it will be in the South. The USC-Neb game will win in Cali and the Plains...I'm sure. I'm talking overall.

They are two of the best college football programs in the nation...historically speaking. It's also a non-conference battle so it isn't like people can just watch it every year. You also have to consider that it's ABC's "big game" and last week's OSU-Texas showdown was the highest rated game in 6 years.

The Michigan-ND game is in the afternoon...it isn't going up against the other two big games at the same time.

I think overall nationally it will be Notre Dame and Michigan.

I know but I am still betting it has higher ratings than any other game on Saturday at any time.
