Default Favorite Goalie

Who is your current favorite goaltender?

Mine is Curtis Joseph. The guy is simply outstanding. The one save I will always remember was in 1998, his last season with Edmonton, in the playoffs versus Colorado... he made a bad mistake going out to the corner to play the puck... the puck somehow got in front of the net, and he skated all the way back to his crease and got a glove on the puck to stop it from going in the net... amazing. If I find the computer game NHL '99 anywhere for $10 or something, I'm going to buy it JUST so I can see that save over and over and over and over and over and over and OVER again on the opening video!!!!!

...Not to mention that in the past three seasons, he IS the reason that the Toronto Maple Leafs have made the Eastern Conference Finals (1999), and kept the team close with the New Jersey Devils in the Eastern Semi-Finals in the past two seasons.

Who is everyone else's favorite goalie?

Cujo is my favorite as well. He can put a whole entire team on his back in the playoffs.

I don't know if I have a favorite. But, [b]Patrick[/] Roy has a very good first name.

Uhhhhhh... I know FOR SURE the Head Coach was Bob Hartley (COL) for the North American squad..... and I think it was Ken Hitchcock (DAL0 for the World squad, but Jacques Martin WAS an assistant for either one.

However, the coach is not the one you "shoot" for CuJo not making the team... unlike in MLB, the coaches do NOT choose their team after the starting line-up has been chosen by the fans. Rather, the guys at the commissioner's office does.

However, I don't think CuJo deserved to be at this season's All-Star Game.... who were the goalies, anyhow?... Patrick Roy (COL), Sean Burke (PHO), and... hmmm... (looking it up)... Martin Brodeur.... I don't think CuJo was All-Star calibr this season until playoff time.. he was average until then.

So anyway.... we got 3 CuJo's, and 1 for Patrick Roy (Remember, that's prounounced "Wha," not the English way, "Roy".... it's "WHA" )

Anyone else?

I haven't seen much hockey, but my hometown team goalie Ron Tugnutt was cool, he is good and I hope our team can keep him.

Yep... Tugger's good... he played for my fav team, the Sens, to start his career.... as I said in the other thread, I use either #13 for Selanne, or else #31, the flip of it.

Anyway, when I got my Senators jersey 3 or 4 years ago or so, I got 31 on it... Tugger's number

Again, whoever's on the Devils. And in this case, Martin Brodeur.

Jocilyn Thibeault... I've always been a fan! He's awesome! I also really like Jamie Storr and I've been a fan of Felix Potvin since he was with the Leafs

...the good thing about Potvin is..... right now, he has the ABSOLUTE BEST helmet in the NHL!!!... It's the same one he had with the Leafs, only with a "purple twist" to it.. it's sweet!!!!!

Default Favorite Goalie

My favorite goalie is a goalie of the future, Robert Esche. Hopefully the Coyotes future, but probably not.

People here complain that he went to the Patrick Roy school of goaltending, because of the way he dashes out of the crease.
