Well both of you guys have my Titans going 12-4 and 13-3 and I must praise both of you for doing so!!! Hopefully the Titans will win that many games, but I will be happy with 10 and anything more is a bonus for me!

And why don't you guys go as far as picking the playoff scenarios and the Super Bowl game....I would be interested in those picks as well!!

I prefer to wait to post playoff picks until late in the season. Anyway, are you going to post yours, Joey? C'mon, people!

Default Joey's 2002 NFL Picks!!!

Now everyone has their opinion on these, and well I am just stating mine! I know that I will get tons of critics on my picks, and rightfully so! Looking forward to discussing my picks and reasoning for them!

AFC East
1.New England Patriots(10-6)....With this division so equal across the board the Patriots win it with great special teams play and an excellent secondary.

2. New York Jets (9-7)....Another great year for Curtis Martin, and the speed of Santana Moss and Coles will help this offense dramatically. But after losing 3 starters to free agency in the secondary, the Jets will allow more points this season causing them not to make the playoffs.

3. Miami Dolphins (8-8)...Ricky Williams will not be the savior of this team, and Jay Fielder will be demoted sometime during the season. But by the time he is demoted the Dolphins will have lost too many costly games!

4. Buffalo Bills (6-10)...Improvement over last season with the addition of Bledsoe, but the defensive line and both Safety postions are weak. Bills will play many close games, and in the process may be the heartbreak team of this season!

AFC North
1. Pittsburgh (12-4)...Steelers may have the easiest schedule of any top tear team in the NFL. Their defense will put the Steelers in contention for every single game they play in, and win 75% percent of them. This team is still not offensively powerful enough to win the Super Bowl though!

2. Cleveland Browns (9-7)...Tim Couch still only feels comfortable with throwing the ball to Kevin Johnson, and I don't see anyone stepping up to help him there. William Green,as a rookie, will be counted on highly. Green will make or break this team, and that something to say about your team if a rookie has that much say so in whether you win games or not. Jamir Miller big loss for them!

3. Baltimore Ravens (6-10)...Ravens still have 3 Pro Bowlers on defense, but that won't hold up the end of the bargain this season. Chris Redman takes his lumps at Qb this season! Jamal Lewis if healthy will help the Ravens avoid some blowouts this upcoming season!

4. Bengals (6-10)...Solid defense, good running back, terrible Qb! That about sums it up for the Bengals! They have to prove to me and the rest of the league that they are on the rise, because I just don't see it yet.

AFC South
1. Colts (11-5)....Manning, Harrison, Ismail, James, and Pollard will be too much for this division to handle! Colts will somewhat improve on defense, but nothing dramatic. Colts outscore most oppenents to win 11 games!

2. Titans (10-6)...George healthy again, Mcnair's shoulder healthy, and Kearse and Carter should be much more effective this season. The Secondary will hold this team back though, but they will slip into one of the final playoff spots in the AFC.

3. Jacksonville (4-12)...Jimmy Smith holding out, and maybe for the entire season. Fred Taylor is the only break out player on this team, but he can't seem to play more than 4 games a season! Defensively this team will struggle.

4. Houston (2-14)...Not enough offensive options for Carr to get the ball to in order to score points. Secondary is decent for an expansion team, but Houston will give up big yardage on the ground throughout the season.

AFC West
1. Broncos (11-5)...Clinton Portis will be the rookie of year this season on the offensive side of the ball! Griese has a good offensive scheme and players to work with to win this division.

2. Oakland (10-6)...New Coaching staff won't be able to hold this team together like Gruden did. This will be one long season of seeing Rich Gannon throw temper tamtrums and bark down everyone's throat on the team!

3. San Diego (7-9)...Brees get his time, and will be somewhat impressive. Tomlinson will have a hard time carrying the ball so much in between tackles without getting injuired this season! The Chargers are a year and a few players away from contending for a playoff spot.

4. Kansas City (5-11)...Too many issues for this team! Gonzalez contract being one, and Sims(first round draft choice), unsigned as well! Morton is the only game in town as far as receivers go, and Priest Holmes will have to have another break out year for them to win more than 5 games.

NFC East
1.Redskins (11-5)...With the combination of Spurriers offensive mind and Marvin Lewis' defense, this team will slightly win this division.

2. Eagles (10-6)...Their offensive scheme is still mediocre and that will keep them from progressing past what they accomplished last season.

3. Giants (8-8)....Shaky Secondary will cost them, but this team wil compete in every game within the conference. They will have to have tons of breaks for them to win more than 8 games.

4. Cowboys (6-10).....Carter will unfold into what we all know he is a bad QB! Trying to get Emmith Smith the rushing title will be another problem for this team I think. Their defense will keep them in games, but won't be enough to carry them to victory!

NFC North
1. Green Bay (11-5)...Green makes or breaks this team! Farve will have to make his receiving core better than they actually are on paper! Good team, but won't make it to the Super Bowl!

2. Bears (9-7).....No Home games, Bad Qb, decent enough to have a winning record but barely!

3. Minnesota (7-9).....Bennett really has to step up in the running game. And the secondary and linebackers are outright terrible for the Vikings!

4. Lions (5-11)......Let Joey Harrington play!!!

NFC South
1. Buccaneers (11-5).....Gruden will have this team on the right track to make a run to the Super Bowl!

2. Saints (8-8)....Too much trouble in Saints land to get a playoff spot!

3. Falcons (6-10)....Vick, Dunn, Duckett, Jackson will be exciting to watch, but won't be such a factor to pull off a string of wins!

4. Panthers (4-12)....Foster has promise, Weinke just needs to stay within the offense, and they still have a long road in getting back into contention.

NFC West
1. Rams (13-3)....Secondary..especially one corner is a problem, but beyond that I feel as though they are the strongest team in the NFL.

2. 49ers (11-5).....Getting better on defense, and has a young nucleus with some experience now. Watch out for them!

3. Seahawks (7-9).....Too hard of a division, and Alexander won't be able to carry that offense! Darrell Jackson or someone in their group of Wrs has to step up in a major way this season!

4. Cardinals (6-10)....If you like watching Wrs...check out David Boston...he may be the best overall Wr in the game! That is about the only bright spot for the Cardinals!

I know, real gutsy to pick almost the same playoff scenarios as last year. But hey - I took the Bengals at 9-7! If that doesn't show some courage, I don't know what does.

I'm especially interested to see how Oakland and Tampa Bay do with the Gruden Switch.

Hey Brian, I think you meant for the Titans to go 11-5, and not 11-6....because then they would have to play a 17 game schedule. But thanks for selecting my Titans to have a good record!
