Who Will Stand Out This NFL Season?

Barely a full month into the NFL season, hopes are quickly draining away into sewers of frustration as the injuries pile up for almost every team in the league. In the midst of all the misfortune, some old names are maintaining the status quo surrounding their expectations, and making the early season predictions on OddsNinja look good, while some new names are taking full advantage to announce their presence.

Every NFL team has at least one starter in the sick bay, with some of them looking to be out for quite some time. Already heading into Week 7 of the season, the standings are reflecting the absences from every team.

AFC East

The Dolphins will be so thrilled to get their star quarterback Tua Tagovoila back after injury, but what can he bring to Miami to set them on the winning track? The Dolphins (1-5) will face the Jaguars (1-5), who have been just as poor in as many games as Miami.

It is the Bills leading the division, 4-2, and the only team with a winning record in the division. The Patriots are second with a record of 2-4.

AFC North

Cleveland (3-3) really has no luck. A season that started with them looking like one of the teams to make huge leap into the contender conversation, is all of a sudden without Nick Chubb, Baker Mayfield, and Odell Beckham, Jr. Myles Garrett was questionable heading into the Thursday Night game against the Cardinals, who remain the only unbeaten team in the league.

Conversely, the Ravens are getting the best Lamar Jackson, at a time when every team seems to be suffering in some way. The Ravens are 5-1 and tailed by the Bengals (4-2).

AFC South

Derrick Henry is one of the players carving up an MVP consideration for himself, as the Titans stand alone atop the division. At 4-2, the Titans are the only team with a winning record, and king Henry has been great.

AFC West

In probably the most shocking result so far of the season, the Chiefs are at the bottom of the division, with a 3-3 record, a long way off the 4-2 Chargers who lead the pack. The division is tight, however, with the Raiders second at 4-2, as well. No team in the division have a losing record.

NFC East

The Dallas Cowboys seem to have figured it out and are sweeping through the wins, with a 5-1 record so far and top spot in the East. Every other team in the division from Washington to the Giants, have a losing record. Dak Prescott has been great, but he won't be available against the Patriots.

NFC North

Aaron Rodgers is still the man and he has plans to add another MVP year to his storied career. The Packers are 5-1 so far.

NFC South

Tom Brady and the Bucs are going about their business in calm fashion, but with devastating precision. Rob Gronkowski may be out for a while, but Brady has been consistent.

NFC West

The Arizona Cardinals are the only unbeaten team in the NFL, and they need every bit of that to fight off the Chargers who are second with 5-1. The 49ers and the Seahawks are having a horrible season, and for the Seahawks, losing Russell Wilson to injury has just made a complicated season even more so.
