Top Three QBs in the AFC East

By SBR Forum

There's plenty of intrigue at the quarterback position in the AFC East. The Miami Dolphins have named rookie quarterback Ryan Tannehill their starter, while the New York Jets have added Tim Tebow to their mess. Meanwhile, the Buffalo Bills are hoping that Ryan Fitzpatrick is actually worth the $59 million that they paid him last season and, oh yeah, there's Tom Brady.

On that note, here's how we rate the top three quarterbacks in the AFC East:

1. Tom Brady, New England Patriots

Anybody who is capable of making basic NFL picks can safely say that Brady is easily the best quarterback in this division. Never mind the division, Brady might be the best quarterback in the league and could be in the conversation for best of all-time.

In the East, it's not even up for debate. Brady is No. 1 and then there's everybody else.

2. Ryan Fitzpatrick, Buffalo Bills

Fitzpatrick looked like a Pro Bowl quarterback to start last season when the Bills began 5-2, but then the team signed him to a $59 million extension and he hit the wall.

He's worked on his footwork in the offseason and should be back on track to looking like the quarterback who played well early last season.

Fitzpatrick is experienced and capable, and that puts him ahead of Ryan Tannehill and whomever the Jets will strut out as their starting quarterback.

3. Ryan Tannehill, Miami Dolphins

We'd love to include Mark Sanchez or Tim Tebow in this list, but the New York Jets' offense is brutal these days. They haven't even scored a touchdown through two preseason games. Sanchez has lost all confidence and while he's completed 13-of-18 passes, many of them are for small yards.

On that note, we'll give the third spot in this list to Tannehill, who has also had little to work with in Miami, but has at least earned the starting duties. He's looked capable as the signal caller, while the Jets' tandem simply looks miserable.
