Will the chargers be able to dominate
This year the chargers shocked the league reversing their numbers from last year. Will they be able to put up the same numbers with there 2005-06 team?

With Brees and LT, I think they can make the playoffs and win 11-12 games. I don't know if they'll have quite the magical season they had this year, but they shouldn't drop to the cellar again. But again, this is the NFL, so you never know...

Oh so true.

But will the Pats ever fall? Maybe whenever free agency catches up to them, but it looks like they have a very tight team and I don't know if free agency would be problem for them.

It will be interesting to see how much of an impact the losses of Charlie Weis and Romeo Crennel will have on the Patriots in 2005. Has a team ever lost two coordinators to head coaching jobs (college or pro) at the same time?

The good news for the Chargers is that they will have two first-round picks in April's draft; the bad news is that they will take the biggest jump in schedule difficulty (vs. what they played this season) of any team in the AFC next year, and are tied (with the Falcons) for the biggest jump in the entire NFL. The two teams in the same situation this year - the Rams and Chiefs - went from a combined 25-7 in 2003 to a combined 15-17 in 2004.

I expect the Chargers to be a competitive team again next year if Brees and LT stay healthy. The two picks in April will be nice too. I think the Chargers will stand up to the challenge of the tougher schedule next year.
