Hey, Buckeye...

Finally a game worthy of the Finals. Miami was beyond impressive. What a win & Riley's finally vindicated...

It needs to be said: Dallas has some serious classless fans.

Booing Michael Finley, Steve Nash, and now the Champs. Yea whatever.

But at least Cuban was a good enough sport to applaud them and give it up for the better team. I almost half expected him to go ballistic over that last second non-call for Jason Terry..

I thought he was cheering for Dallas, since the PA system was thanking the team for their great season. It was probably a little bit of both.

Exactly Tark.

We finally saw a road team come down and finish a squad off. Woulda been nice to see Wade hit those late FTs. My first critique of Wade in his post-ringless career. Feels great. Can't wait to put him up on the thrown and fire rocks at him to see how far he can go. Now the REAL fun begins.

Shaq gets 9 points but wins. He's like Wilt circa 1972 but with more understanding!

Shaq moves up the ladder on my all-time centers list...

1. Russell
2. Jabbar
3. Shaq
4. Wilt
5. Moses Malone

Wow, Shaq just guaranteed a repeat!

I'm sooooo glad I was completely wrong about this series. I'm giddy.

Riley is doin' his press conference. I'm taping it. It's the equivalent of when Moses came down the mountain with the tablets.

That it is...

The most amazing part of the game was how 'Zo & Haslem played like seasoned Finals vets. 'Zo was a Man possessed. One of the best Finals performances I can remember from a non front line guy...

The poise the whole squad showed cemented the fact that no matter how bad & erratic they've been in this series, they were destined for this.

Best Riley move: With 2:05 left in the 4th quarter, it looks like Riles catches Johnson yelling foul orders when the ball came in for the hack-a-Shaq. Riley barked loud & clear for a 20 so he could get Shaq out of there. Probably averted a key momentum change that late...

Enough about stats anyone look at Mr Moron I mean Cuban clapping as his pathetic actions will be the only thing peaople talk about when they refer to mavricks lol. What a joker I think they should take the team away from him and give him a high school team then he can blame the refs and run to the court and yell at parents lol Man I staed up till midnight just to watch his face as they lost. Anyone else feels like hes the type of guy you want to see on the street just so you can kick the ***** out of ? I just want one punch to make the 3 stooges hair do a 360 lol Good Job Mark you took the media attention and your team lost have a nice summer jack ass.

uh oh.. Shaq guaranteed a repeat....
Wouldn'ta done that, big fella!

Riley coming back?
Payton coming back?
'Zo coming back?
Shaq having as good a year, or does he get fat over the summer or injured next year...

I see all those as at least moderately likely. Not that I'm saying it's impossible, just probably not enough of a given to issue a guarantee like that... coulda jinxed it.

Ya know Tark, I got Haslem as my #2 key guy in this series. His defense on Dirk (esp. at home) was more than you could ask for. He got dirty (the early shoulder injury) and provided enough inside baskets (esp. late tonight) as well as outside shots to help spread the floor.

It will be interesting to see what happens in the coming days as we get wind of what Riley did in pregame and during the game itself so we can digest how he got Zo and Haslem in that mindset.

Just think Tark, you mentioned that the game might have passed Riley by earlier and I didn't necessarily argue with you. He'll forgive us though. He realizes we are mere mortals and he is God.

Oh yeah, get used to unbridled Riley enthusiasm!!!!

MY GOD...RILEY IS TALKING ABOUT GAME 5 OF THE 85 FINALS! Someone call 9-1-1 if I pass out. I'm on cloud nine. Nothing I write here can be used against me. I've got temporary Shaq/Riley insanity!

Nope, my money's on you for "person who hates Cuban the most"...
that is some serious hatred!

Personally I like Mark Cuban, but the criticism after Game 5 does carry some weight.... probably shouldn'ta cursed out the reporters, Cubes!

I had thought that Dallas had become a mentally tough team after that SA series but I saw them go back to being the old Mavs in game one of this series. They mentally collapsed over the last 3-4 games concentrating more on the Refs than stopping Wade and choked away the series. Once Miami brought the pressure physically and mentally the Mavs folded like bedsheets.
