Default will this be the year...

...that Florida finally beats Kentucky (living up to thier potential would be nice to but baby steps). My guess will be no until I see some quality interior play and better defense. Oh, well a man can dream, there's always football.

Hell no. And I'll be at Rupp jumping up and down in the student section. We've got the top class coming in the country ... top THAT.

True. I think Kentucky is even better this year so it's unlikely at best. At the same time they play the games because anyone can win. Just remember Mat Walsh is the man with a playmate girlfriend and awesome hair.:goof: (the honorary Walsh smilie)

Well The Gators had three players make first team on the all SEC team. No one else did that. Not even Kentucky.

I just came back from the Blue/White scrimmage and the talent on this Kentucky team is SCARY. These freshman are like the Fab Four.

This is expected, though. Kentucky has a lot of new talent, whereas Florida has some players already established from previous years. Unlike Florida's players, though, Kentucky plays defense and as a team.

I think Kentucky is winning this year. They have a good team this year and will probably take the SEC and a number one seed into the tournament.

Well considering Florida just lost to Miami AT HOME I suppose I have to agree that they will lose to Kentucky AGAIN.

Kentucky didn't look so sharp yesterday against North Carolina, losing 91-78. Florida and Kentucky will be the teams battling for the SEC East but both will have some competition from the SEC West. Mississippi State is still the favorite but Alabama is ranked with their only loss to Washington and. LSU could surprise some people and Arkansas is 5-1.

Relying on four freshman like they do, the outcome of yesterday's game was not unexpected. The Heels were at home, more experienced, and more eager for a win considering they are 0-4 against Tubby's UK teams until yesterday. This game doesn't mean anything in the grand scheme of things.

Overall, I think it was a great test and learning experience for the young Cats. Three months from now, the outcome will be different. I'd rather us take our licks now and then become ferocious in March. The most encouraging thing is this team never would go away, they kept clawing back instead of giving up. But there's no doubt UNC is a superior team at this point the season.

I'm not the only one! You know us Wildcats fans HATE losing and expect to win the title EVERY year (like Notre Dame football), but the mood on the KY forums is similar to mine. We are very young and EXPECT to take some hits early on.
