Post Best free agent pickup in Fantasy Football

Who was the best pickup this year in the world of Fantasy Football? Tom Brady filled in nicely for the Pats, but was he the hottest guy on the market? Shaun Alexander to me was the best pickup, mainly because he just TORE it up. So what guy did you pick up that picked up your wining total? Names like Rhodes and Chambers come to mind, but who was the hottest?

That is a pretty tough question since there were many good FA pick-ups made this season. Personally, I would have to say either Rhodes or Anthony Thomas. I couldn't get either one of them on the FA wire, but when you already have backs like Faulk, Shaun Alexander and Bettis, I really didn't mind

I didn't get any of those guys either 'cuz they weren't available, but best FA pick-ups were the Rams, who started at the #10 defense in the league when I got them, and went up to #4.... and also my kicker, Jason Elam who improved from somethin like #10 or #12 when I got him to #1 at the end of the season. Stacey Mack was very important for me in some weeks too because I had a weak line-up of RBs, but was also very inconsistent, and I never really knew when he was going to "show up" for me and put up big numbers.

For me, it was Shaun Alexander and the Packers' D in the SC FF league. If you play it smart with drafting and free agency, that can make (or break) your team!

I kinda took a gamble on Alexander and drafted him in the late rounds. I think I drafted him in the 15th round.

Well, in one of my leagues I took Fred Taylor in the draft, when he went down, I picked up the inconsistent Mack. Another guy almost forgotten, was Trung Canidate. He filled in nicely for Faulk when Faulk went down. Also Kordell was a free agent in many leagues and he put up good fantasy numbers the last couple weeks.
