$100,000 in gifts, and that's not including the house in San Diego that seems to have fallen off the radar. Say hello to probation.

Yeah, I mean, I understand the schools saying they can't stop the agents because agents are jerks who don't care about the program, whereas boosters/alumni give a damn about the program...but, the HOUSE thing...yeah, if that is true, USC was put on notice and should have began questioning everything about Bush. They either have no control or don't give a damn.

I think they turn their heads quite a bit, but now it will cost them their ass.

Hm, maybe the good 'ol "lack of institutional control" will end up getting laid out here once the dust settles.

I have a feeling that there are going to be some more unpleasant rocks turned over at SC.

Insert foot and break off.

That was an arse kicking.

Some great games today. UF/Tennessee, OK/Oregon, FSU/Clemson and LSU/Auburn. And it's only week 3.

It was quite refreshing to watch a team play with purpose right after the Ohio State "game" was over.

Big Twelve went 2-8 yesterday...

Almost got the trifecta with 2 of the 3 teams in the Axis of Evil losing (damn Florida Gators).

ACC is in complete disaray. A MAC team takes out one of their squads again this week...down South too. Western Michigan took Virginia down. The Cavs had won 23 of their last 26 games at home so a good win there for WMU.

Think the SEC is probably the strongest conference so far...followed by the Big Ten (gaining ground) and the Pac Ten. The Big East seems to be 4th with the ACC and Big Twelve stumbling around.

The Big 12 went 5-6 on Saturday. 0-1 on Friday.

Probably should have been 6-5 on Saturday. I'm still trying to figure out how the ref blew back-to-back reviewed calls. in the final minute.

What happens when supposedly major programs schedule Div1AA competition? South Carolina 27 Wofford 20 and Spurrier's team becomes a joke for the rest of the year.

Yeah, kinda like when Penn State schedules Youngstown State, Texas schedules North Texas, Oklahoma & Georgia schedule UAB, Wisconsin schedules Western Illinois, etc. - I believe those are all I-AA schools, too..........

edit: whoops - wrong about UAB, but they are a cupcake team for a major program to schedule.

The good thing about the lopsided schedules is the smaller college does get some national recognition. But being blown out isn't the best recognition a small college could get.

Hopefully you're not talking about the onside kick in the Oregon game...
