Question T.O. - The Next Dr. J.?

The last time the city of Philadelphia put on a championship parade, its undisputed "grand marshal" was Julius Erving, who epitomized the flashy, charismatic athlete - at least as the concept was defined back then.

In addition to the obvious (and desperately needed) upgrade he would provide at the position he plays, Terrell Owens would bring to the Eagles the same kind of brash star quality.

In a bygone era, W. C. Fields derided Philadelphia as a dull, dead town - a stereotype that resonates to this day - and if Fields were alive today he would have a field day, no pun intended, with Andy Reid and his team.

After Sunday's record-breaking choke in the NFC championship game, Eagles owner Jeffrey Lurie made some comments that suggest he may be open to finally changing his Mickey Mouse, penny-pinching ways.

Well this spring you will have an opportunity to prove it, Mr. Lurie.

Do the right thing. Bring T.O. to Philly.

How did Donovan McNabb choke? His recivers dropped passes (11 I think), and broke off thier routes which resulted it two of the interceptions. He played most of the game with bad back and ribs, to the point that he couldn't play in the biggest game of his life. McNabb didn't choke, his subpar recivers and conservative coach did. Which is why I agree that they should get TO.

Yes, I agree no one can honestly blame D. McNabb for Sunday's debacle. The Panthers got into the reciever's heads. They wanted no part of the Panthers secondary. They caused McNabb to be injured because he had to sit in the pocket so long waiting. I would not take the field with those kind of recievers. They must go. Chad Lewis stays.

Please Bring T.O. to Philly!!!!!!

And one other thing. If Mcnabb choked in Sunday's game, then what did Manning do? And three time previous Manning couldn't even win ONE game. Out of the three times McNabb has lost in the NFC championship game, only it was his fault maybe once, vs. Tampa. And even then the eagles couldn't stop Brad Johnson.

Also, you were the one that predicted they would win 3-4 games (and would get the number 1 pick), after two bad losses in the first two weeks. Talk about jumping on the anti-eagle bandwagon! Look how that prediction turned out!

One correction, Edgar: Anthony invented anti-Eagle bandwagon, he didn't jump on it.

Where does Anthony say Donnie choked? He said the team choked, and he's right...they did...particularly Thrash and Pinkston.

I'd hate to see T.O. leave the scarlet red and gold, and unfortunately that's quite likely, but I guess I can stand seeing him in a Philly uniform.

His signature says,

Todd Pinkston might be the worst starting Wide Reciever EVER.

Dave

A bandwagon I won't hesitate to jump off of if they either sign a big-name, speed receiver in free agency and/or pick one high in the draft. (If my family ever saw my posts here they'd disown me - or worse!).
