Default Sylvester Croom, nothing but a class act.

Since we're in the down period of college football, the king of all sports, do yourself a favor and try your best to check out a truly fantastic piece on Sylvester Croom and the lack of black head coaches in college football.
It shows Croom in a different light. I have always been a big fan of his. But after this piece on ESPN I just witness, I'm now a huge fan of the gentleman.

ESPN, hats off to you. You finally got one right. Well Done.

Everything I have ever heard about him has been positive. It was good to see MSU stick with the guy and end up with an 8-5 season and a bowl win. He won some nice games this year.

I remember when 'Bama passed on him in favor of Mike Shula and a lot of folks said they would live to regret the decision.

Miss State showed what patience and preserverance with a new head coach will do. They recognized that their program was in shambles and allowed him to rebuild it from the ground up with his players and they were rewarded handsomely with that Liberty Bowl win and 8-5 record. At the very least, he's approaching what that slime bucket Jackie Sherrill accomplished down there.

It's interesting cuz while this is true in MSU's own history part of me can't help but believe that Croom is made to look so good cuz his immediate comparisons are made to scumbags like Meyer, Tuberville and Spurrier.

Nice guy and has down a great job but it looks even better amid the filth that is the SEC.
