I just noticed the description of the Lounge here at the SC boards.... "Kick back, grab a soda, and relax."

Again, this is what I think is a CAN/USA difference... no one around here that I've talked to calls it "soda"... it's "pop"!... so which is it, in your opinion?

It depends in your area. Nick, because I've lived where you live, I know your area calls it 'pop'. Most people, actually, call it 'soda', which I think sounds best. So there.

To me, it doesn't matter if I'm drinking Coca-cola or Pepsi, I always call it a "coke". I dunno, maybe I'm strange or something...imagine that

No... u're not strange.. neither is Patrick... I'M strange, though, 'cuz I prefer Pepsi over Coke, so I ALWAYS ask for Pepsi... but we already had that disucssion on this board once... this is to determine if it's really "pop," or really "soda."

I had an argument about this with people from upstate New York. They call it pop, I call it soda, and people in Australia say soft drink. It's soda though...

Default Finally an answer to my problems

This has been bugging me and my friend from Missouri for a loooooong time (3 years or so.) She says soda, I say pop.

When I go to the kitchen, I go for a good ole pop (preferably Mt. Dew). Soda just sounds weird. I hear people say soda, I think, "What?"

Anyways, my two cents
