Yankees should trade for Juan Pierre while the Marlins dump their players.

Farnsworth is likely going to bust anyway. He has a long storied history of meltdowns in pressure situations. He is the classic million dollar arm with a five cent head.

I hope not, considering they just lost Gordon.

Don't forget the Grand Slam Berkman hit off him when they were leading 6-1....

Jeter a gold glove and Arod MVP. Neither will be moved to CF

That's the point. Jeter (a gold glove) could handle CF and ARod could go back to SS.

Why would you take a gold glove SS and put him in the OF? The Yanks have the best left side of the infield in Baseball. They need to pick up a veteran OF to play a corner position and move Matsui to Center. With the lineup they have Bubba Crosby will be fine in Center if they didn't get anybody.

They already tried Matsui in center and there is a reason they moved him back to left and stayed with Bernie/Bubba in center.

Corey Patterson may be a good fit in NY

Yankees are said to be talking to Bernie about a new contract. seems like last season's trainwreck in center all over again.

I could see the Yankees trading several prospects and a lot of cash to the Twins for Torii Hunter and his gold gloves, at least until this off-season. they have been very quiet.
Maybe Jacque Jones in center? He's relatively inexpensive and can handle the position pretty well.

That blows my mind.... you got a link to that BDS? I hadn't heard anything about Bernie. Why they would ever consider bringing Bernie back is beyond me - unless they waanted him to be the DH full-time. Who DH'd last year? Sierra, Giambi???

I heard something about Bernie, too. They would be nuts to play him again. He's a great NY figure, but his flame has long been extinguished. He's washed up.

Heard Bernie too, but he may try to get more money elsewhere, and he's not happy with a part time role
