A lot of you have probably already read this, but I just saw it, and I agree with almost everything.

Geez, I watched the Pro Bowl last night and the classic Sunday Night Team was there and what a great way to the end their illustrious careers together. It was unbelievable how poor of a job announcing the game was.

I will never forget the play where the AFC punt returner (i think his name is Mathis) lets the ball drop and it clearly hits him in the leg. The ball rolls into the endzone and it is literally 5 NFC players against 2 AFC and somehow Bob Sanders gets the ball for the AFC and its now a touchback. Theismann and the other bafoon in the booth get in a tiff "that's such an awful call? a touchback? these refs...i just can't believe it"

Even after seeing the replays and being clearly able to see Bob Sanders grab the loose ball, those two morons were still saying that it was a bad call and that it should have been a touchdown for NFC. What a bunch of morons.

Would anyone else prefer Wilbon to Kornheiser? Wilbon went totally off on that Pittsburgh-area teacher who humilated the student for wearing a Broncos jersey to school during the playoffs. He basically said if that was his kid, he'd kick the teacher's ass. Great stuff ... and right on. Plus, Wilbon is the one who travels to games, whereas Kornheiser admittingly doesn't anymore and doesn't stay up late for games, being the old curmudgeon he is.

^ I would prefer Wilbon. Kornheiser is a funny guy, but Wilbon seems more fit for broadcasting.

It should be Jim Rome with Chris Berman... that'd be awesome. Boomer cracks me up.

I hope that was a joke. Berman should have retired years ago and Rome would spend most of the broadcast trying to entertain instead of commenting on the game. Berman and Rome would probably be a trainwreck their personalities are too dominant and I doubt you could fit both those egos in the same room together let alone the same booth.

Berman is too comical to do games. He needs to stick to highlights guys that do games have a responsiblity to educate possible new fans out there who may be watching there first game. Berman would be terrible at this he isn't serious enough about this. Also Rome would let his opinions on players override what is going on in the games. Kornheiser is not that good of a choice but is far better then either of those to guys.

Wilbon said today in his Wash Post chat that he will "have some role" on MNF...

Since PTI will be on site for all the games on monday nights maybe he will do a halftime show on location with some of the Monday countdown guys like Jaws that would be alright with me.

Yeah, supposedly PTI is going to be doing its Monday shows on-site of the game so I imagine they will do something similar to what they do on the 6:00 SportsCenter during the pre-game.

So ESPN is talking about two games for the Monday Night opener. Don't know about you all, but I might miss work Sep. 12

Actually Jim Rome would be kind of interesting to see in the booth. Not long term but maybe if he had a shot at one game then we could see.

I personally don't think that Wilbon would do any better than Kornheiser. I think they should just stick with two man announce teams and leave it at that. Why exactly do we need 3 anyway?
