Talking Who's going to win USC or Texas?

I say Texas will win USC has not played a team with a defense as good as Texas. If it winds up being a shootout Texas knows how to score just like USC(scored several times on one play drives). People say that Texas has not played anybody and USC had a tougher sch. but how good is Notre Dame, Ohio State, Texas Tech, Oregon. I am tired of hearing Texas is going to get rolled. I just hope when Texas proves the nay sayers wrong the give the the props. Go Horns.

Ooooh this should be good. I think Texas has a chance in this game if the game doesn't become a blowout. If the Horns defense can hold USC under 30 points it'll be worth watching.

Isn't this a little early? Shouldn't we be concerned about Southern Miss's running attack against Arkansas State's blitz package?

Right now I'm thinking USC will win by 10 points or so, but I haven't had a chance to really look at each team's seasons and personnel. Playing in LA definitely helps the Trojans though.

Texas will win because they have a defense. Southern Cal hasn't faced a decent defense all season. Don't get me wrong, the Trojans will score points but they don't have the defense that Texas does. The Longhorns offense will get their fair share on USC. Unlike last season's disappointment, this one will live up to the hype. It has to the way that it has been billed as "The Game" from the beginning of the season to now.

Texas 38, Southern Cal 35

People keep using the argument that USC hasn't faced a decent defense, but Texas hasn't faced a decent offense outside of Texas Tech.

Some analysts call into question the USC secondary, but they've faced Derek Hagan, Jeff Samardzija, DeSean Jackson, Maurice Stovall and Marcedes Lewis. So of course their numbers aren't going to be good. USC is probably an above-average secondary... definitely not as good as Miami, but they're not nearly as bad as some pundits are saying.

The best wideout Texas probably played against was Ted Ginn, and that was when he was dropping balls early in the season.

Average scoring rank of their opponents this season:
USC: 35.7
Texas: 60.3

Offense they faced that are in the top 20 in scoring offense:
USC: Notre Dame, UCLA, Fresno State, Oregon
Texas: Texas Tech

Offense they faced that are ranked 70th in scoring offense or lower:
USC: Arizona, Washington, Stanford
Texas: Rice, Colorada (twice), Oklahoma State, Baylor, Kansas

In half of their games, the Texas defense has dominated against mediocre offenses.

I think USC will win something like 44 to 17. I think they will score early and not look back.

I think Texas wins easily based on talent alone, but everytime I see Mack Brown on television I get a little uneasy.

Ricky...

Yeah, I'm not a big Mack Brown fan, although I think Petey is a little soft. Seems like he's running for high school prom king.

ESPN almost screwed USC and Leinart:

Imagine if he didn't have his eligibility restored.

Well im not a big USC or Texas fan...so it comes down to who would i rather lose...the answer is prolly Texas but then again i dont want USC to go down as one of the best teams ever....so you see my dilemma....Now to who i think will win...USC...i cant bet against a Pete Carroll coached team with this much time to prepare...
