breaking it in
I just got a new infielders glove for my hs baseball team and am currently breaking it in. I place two basbella in it and tie it nice and tight. Oil it once in a while and have a catch with it whenever i have a chance. Any other ways you guys know that i can break it in or create a good pocket 4 it. keep in mind it is an infielders glove and not an out fielders one. Thanks a lot.

I think I read somewhere that Omar Vizquel soaked his glove in brine. Just saying...

Its been so long since I had a new glove that I can't give good advice. Perhaps "Ask Jeeves"? I do remember putting baseballs in the pocket, tying it around them and soaking it in mineral oil overnight, but that was 40 years ago and the gloves are likely made from different materials now than they were then.

Foam shaving cream is the best for any glove unless it is made out of kagroo skin. Yes they do make gloves out of roo hide. Wrap it, and in two days you're good. Try it, really it works.

I always used Bomber's technique... worked fine for me. Takes a few weeks, but if you plan ahead it works

Never woulda guessed about foam shaving cream. That's wack

Shaving cream won't hurt the glove at all. Learned that one from my highschool baseball coach.
