Trade News

Darius Miles got traded to the Blazers for Jeff Mginnis and Ruben Boumtji-Boumtji. Any thoughts?

Spikedmace 01-22-2004 04:01 AM

With this trade, both teams still stink.
:blah:

I was dissappointed by this trade i thought it was gunna be Darius and Z for Jeff, Rubin and Rasheed. Oh well, i feel sorry for Darius. He already had to deal with one pot smoker in Odom. Now he has to put up with the entire team.

And if that trade would have occurred, then the Cavs would have had to start who at center?

Diceman 01-23-2004 07:17 PM

deSagana Diop!! Senegalian giant!!! LMMFAO.

I love this trade for the Cleveland Cavaliers. LeBron shouldn't run the point so early in his career. And it's not like they lose size with Jeff McInnis who is 6'4" 200 pounds.

Clipps- WHat gave you the impression that Miles isn't a stoner?

air_canada 01-23-2004 07:19 PM

It's not a bad trade for the Cavs, I guess - Miles wasn't doing much, and LeBron was running the point, which prevented him only "somewhat" from scoring, what with shooting all the time and all that - and McInnis will add some experience.

Diceman- You probably got me on that one. Darius has been with the Blazers about 2 days. He probably tried his first bud with Rasheed Wallace and Damon Stoudemire already.

air_canada 01-24-2004 03:01 PM

I don't think it would be his first.

This is a great trade for the Cavs! McInnis is an underrated PG and he allows LeBron go back to his natural two or three.

Well, i've been a Miles fan since the days he was ballin it up with Q(man, those were the days). It sucks knowing that he is having such a horrible time reaching his potential. Even though we are speaking of the Blazers, hopefully, Darius will start off with a clean slate and the Blazers don't re-sign Rasheed so Darius has a chance to start and showcase his talent. His first game with the blazers wasn't that bad. He had 12 points 6-10 fgs, and 4 or 5 rebounds in 20 minutes of play. Hopefully that's a start of something good. It suchs watching talent go to waste.

Miles has some talent, but I doubt it will ever be totally harnessed, especially in Portland.

I'm keen to see what happens to Rasheed Wallace now, if anything.
