Default Favorite Player?

Mine are Teemu Selanne and Nikolia Khabibulin... and it's no coincidence those are former Jets. Khabibulin is the best goalie in the NHL, I don't care what anyone else says. His numbers on crappy teams throughout his career speak for themselves... I don't think anyone will forget is 50-save performance in the playoffs in Detroit in '96 to give the Jets a chance at playing their final game in franchise history at home. And Selanne... I don't know why he changed numbers, but whenever I buy a hockey jersey or whenever I step on the ice to play a hockey game, I always get the #13 jersey: his number as a rookie with Winnipeg when he set the NHL rookie scoring record.

Who is/are your favorite player(s)?

Steve Yzerman, hands down.

He is everything you could ever dream of in a hockey player and as a human being. He's talented, a leader, and a true role model out there. How many guys could make the comeback that Stevie Y did? He stayed with the Detroit orginization for 20 years, showing his loyality and commitment. During the dark days, he sucked it up and helped build this team into a contending franchise.

In the 2002 Red Wings Cup run he played on one leg, took a beating night in and night out, and just kept going. Imagine even walking on one leg, just that, let alone play at the highest level of hockey. It was remarkable. He play's hard all the time and leads by example, on and off the ice.

I've always been a Joe Sakic fan too, i love watching the guy play. As for goalies, all-time, as much as I couldn't stand him winning Cups with the Avs it had to be Patrick Roy. Like him or not, one of the greatest goalies ever, for sure. But right now, even though he is having a tough time so far this season, i have to say that I really enjoying watching Jean-Sebastien Giguere. That playoff run last year was unbelievable and he's fun to watch.

You know.... Steve Yzerman's most recent major reconstructive knee surgery was done and completed by doctors at the University of Western Ontario?

Iggy... hands down. He's an amazing player and a great guy too. He is the future of the Flames and I hope after the dust settles from the CBA we'll sign him again. He wants to stay here.

Palffy definitely. He is one of the most exciting players for me personally to watch.

I used to love watching Yachmenev and Stumple as well.

Um yeah I'm a Kings fan. For goalie.. Thibeault. I have always been a fan since he first started.

All positions? My dream line would probably look like this:

Pavel Datsyuk
Ilya Kovalchuk
Todd Bertuzzi
Nicklas Lidstrom
Ed Jovanovski

Jean-Sebastien Giguere

All right, since we are going all positions now.... my "favorite" line-up would be:

C Joe Sakic
W Teemu Selanne
W Todd Bertuzzi
D Ed Jovanoski
D Chris Pronger
G Nikolia Khabibulin

Brian... no Yzerman on that line!?

That was my dream line, the one I would want if I were to build a team right now. If I had a favorite line with my favorite current players, that would probably look like this:

Steve Yzerman
Brendan Shanahan
Todd Bertuzzi
Scott Stevens
Nicklas Lidstrom
Jean-Sebastien Giguere
