You have to remember that he is in his 70s. Most players lose the edge they once had from age. He didn't do great last year and I wouldn't expect him to do great this year either.

I don't see what age has to do with cards. Its not a physical thing. The best card players I remember seeing growing up were all older.

Quote from Doyle Brunson's Super System:
"They fail to take into account the fact that he's (Johny Moss) some 70 years old now, 20 years past the point at which mostmost men's play begins to deteriorate. Just because the years have affected your circulation and the speed at which you think..."

That is why age hurts your game. After grinding it out for that long you lose the spark you once had.

As for people that don't have the best odds, Humberto Brenes
(95/1 ) is who I would take. He is still great player and could give the title a run.

Ivey's gone. Better change your avatar

Got this from another site.
Annie Duke gets laughed at.
"So Dave sharf kicks the crap out of annie duke and he still doesn't get any respect......After annie bragged about how bad a move dave made when she had a hand and he tried to bluff..(dave heard her talking to gus hansen) he goes back and throws a bluff right at her... he has nothing missed the flop... i think he had bottom pair only... he checks.. she bets... he raises she re raises... dave pushes all in...annie looks at her chips left in front of her(about 30k) and then looks at the pot(about 110k) and folds... dave throws his hand face up, stands up and says go tell that one to guss... "

I have been keeping up. I want to see Doyle Brunson win it all. He has made it to the final day. It would be great to see some one so old to win.

Ivey didn't play in the first day, I am not sure why. On the 2nd day, he went all in before the flop woth a-k against j-j. The flop came with two jacks. He lost to 4-of-a-kind. Oh well.

Go Brunson.

And there were like 2,500 entries. Holly hell. That is a lot.

Well, day 5, this just happened a few moments ago:

Brunson moves all in for $139,000, on a board of 5-7-8 with two spades. Doyle has Qs 5s, opponent has top pair. The turn is a 5, the river is a Q, giving Brunson a full house. Brunson doubles up, crowd applauds.

He is in great shape. Let's hope that next time I get back on the boards Texas Dolly will have won the main event for his third time.

This year they got 2500 compared to only 800 entrys last year. I have heard that a lot of the pro's are not that happy with the increase in amatures playing this year. I have also heard talk about raising the buy in to 25,000 from 10,000.

Greg Raymer won it all after 7 days of playing. Dan Harrington came in 4th. Pretty exciting and I can't wait to see it on tv.

Raymer won $5million. Not bad.
