Default Iverson and Anthony

Is this honeymoon over? (If there was one) and when's Iverson going to start popping off. You just know it's going to happen.

Being a Sixer fan I supported the guy for a lot of years but when he doesn't get his way he's the biggest baby in the league. And that's saying something in the NBA.

Shh, look who has quietly won 6 in a row...

You know, The Nuggets are 15-22 since acquiring AI while the Sixers are 18-19 since dealing him. I was a fan of the trade when it happened and it is starting to bare itself out as the Sixers are playing solid ball while the Nuggets continue to flounder with Karl threatening to bench 'Melo.

The thing of it is, being a Sixers fans, I'd rather see them maintain a spot in the top ten of the draft then make the playoffs. Given the talent that could be available this summer they could potentially get a guy to make them contenders in the East next year, but they just simply don't have it right now.

There was also the rumor that 'Melo is playing for the stats and doesn't focus on the important stuff: winning. Or it could just be the lack of defense. I am shocked the Sixers have improved, though.

There was also the fact that his fiancee was pregnant, she has since delivered, with their first child so that may have been distracting him as well.

Why? Without AI, the 76ers are actually playing "team" basketball. Andre Iguodala and Kyle Korver are pretty good scorers and all they needed was a couple more players to go along with them. The trade with the Nuggets gave them some pretty good talent.
I'm also a 76er fan and am happy to see them playing better. They weren't looking very good at the beginning of the season.

Well, the main thing Igoudala needed was a PG who was not going to dominate the ball the way Iverson did. They have that now in Andre Miller.

These guys are a bunch of chuckers. They can pretend all they want that they don't mind playing with eachother, but when it's all said and done, they are both chuckers.

How long will Andre Miller stay with the Sixers? I hope he is happy enough to stay there for quite a while. The team looks much better without AI and just needs to pick up a couple of pieces to be in contention for a playoff spot. They need a couple of big people that can rebound and score a little bit. Wouldn't Greg Oden look good with the Sixers?
As to AI and Melo, I think they can co-exist in Denver. They both shoot the ball a lot, but they both are good passers and both see the floor well. I think they can make the team better with a bit more time on the floor together.

They have him for two more years after this. But since they have 3 first rounders this year I am kind of hoping they use one of those on a PG that can sit behind Miller for two years and then take the reins at that point.

i think Iverson has been a great addition to this team. I think Denver will only improve as long as Iverson stays focused on the court and not on outside enterprizes or troubles.
