Default Players Turned Actors?

I remember that episode with keith Hernandez on Seinfeld. I thought he did well. Leo Durocher on the Munsters. Cool.

My favorite would be the Saturday Night Live sketch where a bunch of major league ballplayers come out of the closet in Chris Kattan's room, and the final guy to walk out is Norm McDonald as Ted Brogan, who "played a little minor league ball in the '80s."

It was a classic, but I can't remember the major league players who participated in the sketch.

Chuck Conners, who played the Rifleman in the 1950s and 60s, was once a Chicago Cub 1B. He turned to acting when it was discovered he couldn't hit a major league curveball.

What about The Simpson's episode that had Clemens, Steve Sax, Canseco, Mattingly, Ozzie, Strawberry, Scioscia, Griffey, and Boggs?

Paul O'Neil when Kramer needed him to hit two home runs so the sick kid would return the signed card.

Didn't Danny Tartabull do a cameo on Seinfeld once as well?

Yea, he was supposed to help Jerry do a telethon of some sort. It's midnight so the details are kinda fuzzy.

Yeah. George was supposed to take him to the telethon, but he ended up chasing some guy down that he thought gave him the finger. Everyone was eating candy with a fork that episode too
