The Texans released Sharper, so they were going to be worse for him leaving no matter what or who he signed with.

The Packers signed Arturo Freeman from the Dolphins, reuniting him with new Packers defensive coordinator Jim Bates. Good move. But it's not enough!

I really like this signing as Freeman is already familiar with Bates and his system. Not to mention that there was a gaping hole left when Sharper was cut even though he severly disappointed last season. I like for the Packers to take a safety at some point in the draft, probably the middle rounds. The only way I can see the Pack taking a safety early is if Georgia's Thomas Davis is still on the board or the Packers move up.

Look for the Packers to be more active after June 1st cuts are made. The Packers don't have a lot of cap space to work with and didn't see anyone thrilling enough to make the commitment too.

If they don't have any money, how can they be any more active in June than they were, or were not, in March and April?

I think the idea is that the June free agents will be of a lower quality, thus cheaper (hopefully)
