Arrow AL Cy Young

If you were to decide the AL Cy Young winner, who would be your pick, based on what they've done so far this season?

I'd have to go with Tim Hudson. He's having an outstanding year, and, IMO, is very underrated.

His stats, so far, this season --

23 GS | 2 CG | 12 W | 6 L | 126 SO | 49 BB | 3.20 ERA | .224 OBA

Plus, he's getting 5.21 runs of support. That's not a lot compared to what some other Cy Young candidates are getting.

So there's my pick...what do the rest of you think?

Well, I pick Clemens but you're obviously not giong to say that as a Red Sox fan. However, Hudson is making a strong run at it, but possibly being overlooked by writers with East Coast bias.

Honestly, all team favoritism aside, the reason I don't think Clemens will win it is because of his high ERA (3.58) and very high RS (7.3).

Clemens is having a great year, though.

I have been noticing all those high numbers, and it may very well cost him the CY. But like I said in my previous post, Clemens will probably get over on Hudson, because Hudson plays when the East Coast is asleep.

I think that even with Hudsons numbers, Clemens will pull it out.

Clemens should win it hands down. He has the best record in the world and has the reputation to go with it. Hudson is having a great year and will get some consideration, but playing in New York should be the deciding factor in Clemens favor.

Yeah if Clemens plays the same as he has been, it will be no question.
