So Doug, you still think Randle El is a stiff?

And BDS actually agrees with me on something Eagles-related. I think the earth just stopped revolving around the sun.

i dont see how the Steelers would now let Randle El go unless the Eagles offered something very tempting.

That game was supposed to sway me?

You want the Eagles to throw big money at a guy who is a #3 receiver at best, but he can toss the occasional pass in there on a trick play?

Sorry, but I'd draft Michael Robinson in the 5th round, pay him a lot less and get the same thing.

There are so many more options that are cheaper. It makes sense on no levels.

All I know is that there better be someone who's not there now starting opposite Reggie Brown next year or it's all over - for McNabb, for Andy Reid, for all of them.

I can't see the Eagles wanting to outbid the Steelers for his Randle El's services next season. Cowler loves great special teams players and will want ownership to resign him. Randle El fits many roles the Steelers need a x-factor guy for. the Eagles don't run those types of plays much. not worth the price tag but who knows what will happen in the offseason.

Making big plays in the Super Bowl does not make a career. See: Jones, Mike St. Louis Super Bowl XXXIV.

But Randle El as an Eagle would replace someone who isn't capable of making a big play in any game - which is the point.
