Default Who would you rather have: Moss or TO?

A good discussion on Mike & Mike this morning. They had Charilie Caserlie on and he said flat out, he would not want Randy Moss on his team. They mentioned that GMs might rather have TO instead of Moss. This is a good discussion, but who would you rather have? TO or Moss? Disccuss.

TO, but only because (not the public's knowledge) he has no run-ins with the league's drug policy.

Moss's marijuana use has been completely underplayed, but then, he hasn't been suspended for it, either.

TO seems to want to win more, but if I had to take either of them, I wouldn't be sad.
They're both gamebreakers.

Moss. I think he's a better receiver and I don't get affected by the off-field things as much. Moss apparently knows how to time out his smoking so the league doesn't catch him, or knows how to hide it. Moss might be a better leader at this point as well.

Moss is not a team leader. Team leader's don't walk off the field before the game is over and don't engage in trading F-bombs with fans during the middle of games. At this point I think TO is a bit more dedicated to the game, to his conditioning, and to winning a ring.

Well, TO is on the record as saying he doesn't care about football, but just does what he does because he is good at it. I don't have any faith in TO as a team leader, as someone who is motivated or any of that. He is a callous assassin.

And I saw Randy Moss walking off the field as a leadership move. If he didn't walk off that field, the Packers would have had a much bigger chance at winning that game. Moss walking off that field made every single player on that Vikings team look in the mirror and realize that they were doing something wrong. That team has a ton of talent, but sometimes they just spin in circles. Moss walking off the field made them realize they were wasting talent.

Sure, you can argue that it wasn't intentionally done by Moss and that it was a childish move. But I don't know Moss personally and can only speak on the end result. The end result was that it was a positive move for the team.

So he doesn't really care about football but he gives it 100% of his effort.

Moss doesn't care and only gives a % when he wants.

Moss is the M. Tyson of football; he has talent but is a joke!

Thing is you know you will get 100% out of TO on every play. Moss only cares if there is a chance he may get the ball or they are running to his side of the field.

Moss, because he's already on my team.

Moss has missed 5 games in 7 years. That's playing through various ankle injuries and back spasms. If he didn't care, why play at all?

Why not sit out, instead of playing hard through back-to-back 5-11 seasons, and a 6-0 collapse last year?

T.O. has antagonized fans plenty in his career. Don't be niave. Dallas Star? Ripping down banners in Cleveland?

Not saying they are terrible incidents, but hardly any better or worse than PRETENDING to moon Packer fans. Fans that do the REAL thing to opposing teams as they leave Lambeau Field, mind you.

No, he's not BY FAR the best WR in football. Maybe if he was playing in NFL Europe he'd be the best BY FAR. Any league with Randy Moss, Marvin Harrison, Chad Johnson, hines Ward, etc does not have another WR who is "by far" the best.

Besides, Harrison runs better routes, Moss has better hands and is faster. T.O. is a freak of nature and is one hell of a football player and WR, but is not BY FAR the best, and isn't even the best at the criteria you stated.

Pure talent wise I'd take Randy Moss. He's the better reciever out of the two, but T.O is only one step behind him. I think Randy Moss cares about winning, as does T.O, they just want to be the reasons for they're team winning. Either way, both are unstoppable as well as uncontrollable on the field.

I think it has to be T.O., Moss is quicker, but T.O. is more fluid in his routes and goes over the middle for big gains more.

Both guys are just spastic, though, and I would take Torry Holt, Marvin Harrison or Chad Johnson any day before TO or Moss.
