Default This just in: Delhomme sucks. Really sucks.

Jake Delhomme still starter, but Carolina Panthers get A.J. Feeley - ESPN

Good 'ol Jake picked up where he left off after last year's disastrous playoff game, with another multiple-INT day. The Panthers have signed Jay Feeley as insurance, showing that they're squirming, too. Delhomme is old and turnover-prone. Nice guy, but they're not going anywhere until they get a better QB...

His performance against Philly makes it all the more unbelievable that the Panthers gave him $20 million guaranteed in the offseason (forget about the total contract worth, because at this rate he'll be given a one-way ticket back to Louisiana by season's end).

The Panthers signed Feeley because they had to put McCown on IR leaving them with just Matt Moore as the only other healthy QB. Jake's job is safe for now since Moore will never be an upgrade to Delhomme and Feeley does not know the offense.

The Panthers need to spend a first-round pick on a QB next year. Bottom line.

They only problem with that is they don't have a first round pick next year. They traded it to San Francisco to get Everette Brown in the last draft.
