Great job by the US squad, now they take on one of the true Soccer powers in the worls. Portugal is good, as is South Korea and Mexico, but Germany is one of a select couple countries that have ruled socer.

You don't get bigger then Germany, Brazil, Italy, England and Argentina. These are the true big dogs of soccer.

US gets there shot at one of the big boys!

I'm not a big enough football fan to be very serious but that seems to be the general consensus of alot of non-americans.

I say Germany whoops US like 11-0 Haha..... I find soccer so boring; the goaltenders are useless, too. They never get any of the high kicks and always dive down.... anything over their head they can't stop and they only face like 8 shots a game -- how hard could it be to stop 8 shots!? ... NHL goalies stop an average of 26 or more!

I hope you are kidding. What is the ratio of the goalie size to the size of the goal in the two sports.
BTW soccer is not boring

Damn! I was hoping they would pull it off, but it had to end somewhere. Meanwhile, Brazil got past those stinky Britains.

I too was glad to see Brazil beat England. I am German myself and while I live in the US, my grandparents on both sides came to America from Germany so in this and past world cups I have rooted for Germany, so I am glad they won also. US had an excellent showing in this world cup and will probably be a fixture in the quarterfinals of future world cups.

I really hope it is Germany and Brazil in the final. The contrasting styles should make for an excellent game.

I'm certainly pulling for Brazil.I just hope it's a good clean open game. The "runner up " match between Korea and Turkey should be a good game.
