Because there's more to being a great RB than just rushing. Anyone can run behind a good offensive line and look good. I'm not denying Taylor is a good player, but he is barely in the top five best backs in the league, no way the best. Why are James and Faulk better? Because they bring more to their team in the passing/reception area where Taylor lacks.

They both make a whole lot better of a fantasy football player.

Default Taylor

Like I said, if Brunell was half the passer Warner and Manning is, Taylor would have more receiving yards. Oh yeah, Taylor is just as good for fantasy football.

And yes, I agree with you when you say anybody can run behind blockers. BUT, it takes a good runner, like Taylor to break the tackles and run for more yards.

James averaged 4.3 yards per carry last season
Taylor averaged 4.8
Faulk did even better averaging 5.4 yards per carry, but that 5.4 comes on a wickedly potent passing team as well, while Jacksonville isn't as potent. Faulk doesn't even average 20 carries per game, leaving me to believe he's not as dominant as you may think. Taylor averages over 20 and he is the main target on the Jacksonville offence.

Once again, I have proven my point, Taylor is the better man.

I don't really think you have proven your point. Taylor may average more yards per carry, but he doesn't have the total yards and complete game Faulk and James have. Does Jacksonville have a pretty good O-line? It seems they do. It takes a good runner to break tackles and run for more yards? I don't see how Faulk and James can't do that - they are equally as dangerous in the open field. Their games are more well-rounded and thus they are the better runners.

Default Just read the stats

They speak for themselves

Can't argue with them, the Rams have a pretty good O-line as well. Colts is kinda blah

I just realized that I have not voted in this poll.

I voted for Payton, I think he is the best RB of all time.

I think that's Dave....
Dave Casper.I would've picked most of those guys too.I'm from SF and all these years I've had to endure this sickening 49er stuff.I grew up here and most San Franciscans were always Raider fans.Good to see the universe back in it's right order.Even my 3 yr old is a Raider fan;it's the only team that she recognizes on sight.
