Default Can Jason Campbell Lead Washington to Respectability?

I think he's very talented. I liked him when he played at Auburn.

He has a good offensive line in front of him, especially if Chris Samuels returns healthy.

Having Clinton Portis in the backfield will help Campbell a lot and he has some good receivers to throw to like Randle El.

Like the AFC's Ravens and Jaguars, the Redskins have shown an up-and-down, in-and-out pattern in recent years - and since they're coming off a 5-11 season, they could be due for a good year in 2007.

If Clinton Portis can have a big year and the defense stiffens up I see them going 9-7 at best.

All four NFC East teams might finish 9-7 this year, with the two games over .500 being arrived at in all four cases by losing to New England and winning all three of their other games vs. the AFC East.

I think you have to be born with a certain "something" to be an NFL QB. Don't believe Campbell has that. Best case scenario is that he improves and improves and becomes mediocre... sort of like Quincy Carter (and i'd call THAT a success story)
