Default Eastern Semifinals: (2) Detroit vs. (3) Boston

So who do you guys pick for this series?

I'll pick Boston in 7 because they have an easier time scoring than Detroit. When their threes go down watch out. And Jerry Stackhouse and Clifford Robinson tend to disappear in the playoffs.

Celtics in 7 also because they can hit the three, get to the basket and step it up on defense.
And, I'll never forgive those Zollner Pistons!

I am so proud of my Boston Celtics. Detroit will be tough to beat, but I really believe the Celtics will win the series if Paul Pierce stays hot and they get great support from their bench. Antowain Walker must play well too. I pick Boston to win the series 4-3.

IMO Detroit is one of the best defence teams in the East so it wont be so easy for Boston just to launch three's all the time. I expect this series to go the distance and I think Pistons in 7.

It doesn't get much better than this folks. A three-point shooting offensive powerhouse vs. a tough as nails, throwback defensive team. This will be the best series in the entire playoff picture.
I'll say Celts in 7, but anything could happen in this one.

SWEEP, Celts destroy the under-powered Pistons in four. Robinson and Stack will fade and Ben Wallace doesn't light up the scoreboard. He's a shotblocker, but it doesn't matter if Pierce and Walker light it up from downtown.

I don't see the Pistons doing such a great job against them. Now this is a case of 'who cares about defense when you CAN'T SCORE'. If Stack plays like he did vs. Toronto in Game 5, he will not produce.

No sweep at all mjames

Pistons win 96-84 over the Celtics, Great show of defence by the Pistons and they shut Boston down in the second half.

Clifford Robinson - 30pts
Jerry Stackhouse - 26pts
Ben Wallace - 5pts, 12rebs, 5bs

Pistons - they deserve more credit, but I *still* think the Celts will win this one. No sweep, but Robinson won't score 30 everynight for them.

Pierce and Walker in the end will be too much for the Pistons to contain. But if Robinson can continue to shoot like that then this can be a 6 or 7 game series. Stackhouse showed back up as well after a 3 game absence. Celtics and Pistons role players match up really well. But with Corliss, Wallace, Berry, and Curry, not to Mention Atkins, i give the edge to Pistons in role players.

But the Stars are heavily in favorite of the Celtics and that is where the game is won in this series in my opinion. Celtics in 6, and Pierce will not play that badly again in this series, and look for him to score at least 20 points and beyond in every remaining game.

If the Celts can contain Stacky like the Raps did, he's outta there.
