Just looking for NHL fans... Or any of the 7 posters left on this site who enjoy hockey.

I'm from Pittsburgh and follow the Penguins closely. I really do not think they have the talent that they had last year to make another run at the cup. The injury to Gonchar is going to cost them big time, along with losing Hossa (traitor) to the Red Wings, just adding to their soon to be repeat championship season.

Bring back the SC Canadians and maybe this thread will gain some traction. Otherwise, the next post in the on-going 08-09 NHL thread may be in June when the NHL Finals are over.

I know nothing about hockey, but I saw the Blackhawks fired their new coach after FOUR games. Why does this happen so often in the NHL? That's messed up.

Great pens caps game last night... Loved the comeback! This Caps team is deep in talent.

I don't get to watch much hockey since I don't have cable or sattelite tv. It's been that way for years now, unfortunately. I just watch the standings and hope the Isles can get back into the playoffs

Has anybody heard anything concrete on the Mats Sundin situation?

There are a lot of games being played this evening, so feel free to check one out. I wish ESPN still held the rights so they could promote more games... I have too hard of a time finding them. I'm an OLN hater.

Hey - forgot about this thread....

Well, my Lightning are stinkin' it up pretty bad so far this year - in less than one year they got rid of Torts, our best d-man & the architect of our Stanley Cup triumph (Jay Feaster), and hired an out-of-touch coach and traded and/or acquired a bunch of old players....these owners are absolutely clueless....

Pittsburgh South (aka Tampa Gay) just beat the Pens tonight.

Going into tonight, Malkin had the point lead-- Crosby in 2nd-- by 11 points. Pens have been cold lately though, especially since Tyler Kennedy got injured, which killed the productivity of the 3rd and 4th line.

They'll pull it together, though. Whitney looked pretty good in his first game back tonight.

Guess that's better than ****sburgh....lol!!!

After St. Louis' & Vinny's rants made last week, the Bolts are on a nice little 3-game winning streak!
