Exclamation Ichiro Vs Sisler

With Ichiro only 10 hits from the record of most hits, I would like to know how much longer you think it will take him to get it? I say it will take 4 games at the most!!

Facing Texas's pitching staff ..... it might only be three.

I don't know if Ichiro will get the hits he needs in the next couple of games or not, but I think he'll get them before the last series of the season. I'm glad Raul Ibanez and Brett Boone are hitting pretty well now, as pitchers don't want to face them with runners on base. They will pitch to Ichiro.

It would be shameful if pitchers didn't pitch to Ichiro. I know it's the same argument that Bond's fans have made for years but unlike Bond's Giants ..... Seattle is hardly in contention.

Unfortunately Texas is so I hope they face him instead of walk him.

I'm going to say 6 games. He's been amazingly red hot lately, but I just don't see him getting 3 hits a game for the next four.

No doubt he'll get it though.

Only needs eight after going 2-4 last night.

I don't recall a player with a more amazing 2nd half in hitting than Ichiro. The mere fact that he has raised his average about 40 points during this time is mind-boggling. As long as they pitch to him, I say he'll get it .

Although he doesn't get as many highlights and pub as a HR hitter would, this is pretty incredible. It is really quite a feat to be as consistent as he has been, and he's helping his team a lot, despite not hitting for power.

Not to mention that he's a class act. Very humble and plays hard. It's very hard not to root for this guy, no matter what team you cheer for. I hope he gets it. As one of baseball's good guys he deserves it.

I agree with the compliments being paid to Ichiro. The scouts that watch batting practice say that if he wanted, he could probably be a .280/25/100 hitter, but that isn't the role his team needs him to fill. He is happy to hit .350+/10/60, with 100+ runs scored.
The man is an amazing player who could fill nearly any role his team needs him to fill.

Catman ..... I take a .350 hitter anyday whether he hits 40 hrs or none. That's just amazing anyway you put it.
