Thumbs up Big names for sale

On Nfl.com, there is a article listing that the Tampa Bay Buccaneers have cut former Raider and now form Buc, Charlie Garner. Garner, one of the most explosive players when it comes to screen passes, had some bad luck last season when he was sidelined after 3 games with a knee injury. The injury was so extensive, that Garner could not even try-out for the team this season and was cut.

Garner is now on a list with Peerless Price, Corey Simon and Peter Warrick. They used to be and still are some relatively big names on the free agent market.

Has anyone heard about who is going to be next? And what are the thoughts about Garner now teamless?

the market for Charlie Garner probably isn't there. he's played in the NFL for 10 years now- which is about time for most runningbacks to retire. probably time to hang 'em up.

Price should be grabbed pretty quick. Cowboys are looking at him since he had success w/ Drew when they were both in Buffalo. not a bad fit there given their past. Price's best season was w/ Bledsoe in 02: 1,200+ yards and 9 touchdown grabs.

Corey Simon's contract demands are sky high. he couldnt work w/ the Eagles or the Ravens or the various other teams that wanted to trade for him.

The sole reason Garner is a free agent was because he has yet to play a down in the preseason due to the aforementioned injury and the Bucs were not going to pay him a couple mil to see if he might make it back for the second half of the season. He will probably be out there for a while until he can prove that he is completely healthy.

Warrick will get picked up as well as long as he is healthy. He showed two years ago before he spent much of last year fighting the inury bug that he can be a productive slot reciever.

Warrick is the first one to get a new team. He signed with the Seahawks good fit.

Charlie Garner could always come back to Philly. they took a chance on Leavens last season and did alright.

Meh, they already have two slot recievers in Jerome Pathon and Bobby Engram so what's one more?

Why would the Eagles have any interest in Charlie Garner? They already have three young 'smallish' backs in Westbrook, Moats, and Bruce Perry so what would they want with a broken down old one? The only reason they brought Levens in was because he gave them some size in the backfield and can run effectively between the tackles and move the pile a bit.

As a Buccaneer fan I can't really comment on Garner b/c I haven't seen him play.

Corey Simon signed w/ the Colts. good move for the Colts. i thought going after Ty Law would been just as good for them. they need a more legit D.

I'm a bit surprised that the Seahawks didn't go after Simon - but they signed Warrick instead!
